ROSSENDALE REVEALED
THIS week Barry Hyde, of the Promoting Rossendale Partnership Board will be looking at Christmas In Rossendale. THE Rossendale Valley prides itself on its welcoming and friendly communities and Christmas In Rossendale really underlines this with the variety of activities, attractions and events that its many communities offer visitors over the Christmas season.
The Valley is made up of a number of towns, villages and hamlets, all having their own unique character and programme of Christmas activities, and with free parking and a great transport network, access is easy.
The Valley doesn’t do chain stores and German markets, but we can offer light switch-ons in a number of towns, carol concerts, brass band performances, pantomimes and Christmas markets selling distinctive local arts, crafts and handmade products.
There is also lots of live music planned, restaurants and excellent accommodation if you fancy staying over, and the East Lancashire Railway will be running Santa Specials from Bury through to Rawtenstall from Saturday, November 26, right up to Christmas Eve.
To launch Christmas In Rossendale, there will be an amazing market on the Rawtenstall Town Square on Saturday, November 26, featuring over 50 stalls, live entertainment and music, and Paralympic double silver medallist Tom Hamer will be turning on the lights. Christmas in Rossendale already has over 30 events in the calendar, with lots more still to come.
So why not check them out and come visit the Valley for a Christmas experience you won’t forget.
