MALCOLM BIRTWELL
MR Malcolm Birtwell, of Helmshore Road, Haslingden, died on Wednesday, November 16 aged 69.
Malcolm was an electrical engineer before retirement.
He loved watching motorsport and enjoyed anything to do with engineering.
He leaves his wife Yvonne, son Jeremy and daughter-in-law Stephanie and grandchildren Samuel and Amy.
A service conducted by minister David Ireland will be held on Tuesday, December 6 at 11am at Accrington Crematorium.
No flowers please but donations requested to Cancer Research.

PHILOMENA HAWORTH
MRS Philomena Haworth, of Victoria Street, Haslingden, died on Tuesday, November 22 aged 78.
Before retirement she was a nursing sister and midwife.
Philomena enjoyed painting, pottery and ceramics.
Wife of the late Gordon Haworth, she leaves children Rebecca, Gabrielle and Aarron and grandchildren Jude and Joel.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 7 at 11am conducted by Father Mackie at St Mary’s RC Church, Haslingden followed by a private burial.
No flowers please, donations are preferred to Rossendale Hospice.
Funeral director: Paula Brennan for Johnson, Durning and Woods. MR Bill Jackson, of Western Road, Stacksteads, died suddenly in Royal Blackburn hospital on Wednesday, November 23 aged 80.
Requiem mass will be held at St Joseph’s and St Peter’s church on Tuesday, December 6 at 10am and the service will be conducted by Father P Boast, followed by interment at Bacup cemetery at approximately 11.15am.
A dearly loved husband of Margaret, father, father-in-law and grandad to Michael, Tom, Lucy, Adam, Jordan, Sam, Jo-Anne, Sapphire, Amelia, Hayley, Elliot, Libby and Oliver.
Brother to Jessie and Allan.
He was a warm and pleasant gentleman who lifted the spirits of all who met him.
He loved his darts and still watched his beloved Burnley FC.
He will be especially remembered for his kind-hearted nature and his desire to help everyone who needed it.
He will be sadly missed by all.
