THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA EXPERIENCE Head to Narnia: Accrington Town Hall, Sunday 4 and Sunday 11 December In CS Lewis’ iconic children’s book, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, a young child steps into a wardrobe and is magically transported to the fantastical world of Narnia. For those living in the Accrington area, the path to Narnia is rather more straightforward this week –simply step through the doors of the Accrington Town Hall and soak up the festive extravaganza that is The Chronicles of Narnia Experience. CS Lewis’ children’s classic has long been a festive favourite for theatre companies, but this latest production, courtesy of Just Imagine, offers an altogether more immersive experience. Inspired by the characters and stories from the entire Chronicles Of Narnia series, the all-day event features a jam-packed children’s activities programme, including a spell casting workshop with the White Witch, a duelling masterclass with Prince Caspian and map-making with Susan Pevensie. The grand centrepiece, of course, will be lavish musical production of The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe: CS Lewis’s beloved tale of four wartime evacuees who – thanks to that magic wardrobe – find themselves in a land of fauns and talking animals. Tickets for the show have selling so fast that an extra date, on December 11, has been added, so don’t hesitate – book those tickets ASAP and make the intrepid journey to Narnia.
