Town Trail part of town’s rebrand
A NEW tool has been launched to help promote a Valley town’s tourist attractions.
Haslingden has unveiled its new Town Trail, which will guide visitors around the town’s landmarks, highlighting the local history and architecture through more than 20 points of interest.
These include St James’ Church, the Public Hall and the Old National School.
Mayor Coun Granville Morris joined Rossendale council leader Alyson Barnes and members of the Haslingden Task Force for the launch of the trail and new town branding, which includes a redesigned website with a ‘What’s On’ section and the strapline ‘Haslingden: Small Town Big Heart’, at Haslingden Library.
Coun Barnes said: “Haslingden has a lot to offer local residents and visitors to the town and the new website and promotional materials highlight the town and provide lots of information about what to see and do.
“The website is for everyone in Haslingden and we hope people will provide information and help to keep it vibrant and up to date.”
Copies of the Town Trail are available from Haslingden Library or can be downloaded from the Visit Haslingden website.
