RAMSBOTTOM has been named one of the top places to live in the North West by a national newspaper.

The town was picked by the Sunday Times for the accolade in its ‘Best Places to Live’ guide after judges assessed a range of factors from jobs, exam results and broadband speed, to culture, community spirit and local shops.

Ramsbottom was ranked alongside the likes of Clitheroe, Saddleworth and Knutsford as among the top places to move to in the region.
