Couple drive off at start of new season

MARRIED couple Lisa and Stephen Hartley, Bacup’s Captain and Lady Captain, drove off from tee on Saturday 11 March to mark the start of the season.

Lisa and Stephen are both keen golfers and, though this is Stephen’s first time as captain, Lisa took on the role for the second time, the first being in 2003.

The drive-off was followed by the traditional Captain’s versus ViceCaptain’s team competition while those not playing retired to the clubhouse for a hot snack and a drink. New members of all ages and playing abilities are always welcome – see the website for details.
