ROSSENDALE LADIES LUNCHEON CLUB

-

ON Thursday, March 16, Sam Morris, the fundraising manager of Rossendale Hospice gave a presentation to the members which was very informative and uplifting.

Most of us were under the impression that the hospice movement only provided end of life care for the terminally ill.

However, this is not the case and we were all impressed by the range of facilities available to help people cope with the challenges of life-limiting illness and also recovery from serious illness.

Rossendale Hospice relies on donations and fundraising for 75 per cent of its income and is always looking for volunteers to get involved in order to keep this essential service going.

The Luncheon Club is hoping to provide social contact for those who need support during a difficult time and look forward to welcoming new members.

The next meeting is on Thursday, April 20 commencing at noon.

If you would like to come along, please contact Mrs June Ferguson on 01706 213814 or Mrs Linda Brown on 01706 226665.
