One Little Word by M6 Theatre Company Where is it?: The Boo, Waterfoot. When is it?: Sunday, May 14. Two performances – 2pm and 4pm – with a free craft session before each show. Who is it suitable for?: For ages three and above. What does it involve: Brought to us by M6 Theatre Company, One Little Word tells a beautiful and gentle story of friendship, power struggles and the rich world of creative play. We meet two characters who play together – exploring a new space, new objects, dressing up and taking turns - but struggles arise when one of them wants to be the ONLY captain of the ship! Devised by one of Britain’s leading theatre companies for young audiences, One Little Word captivates children’s imaginations with a moving story underscored with original music and told with just ONE spoken word.

Free entry for under-twos. Adults: £8. Concessions for children (2-15), young people (16-25), senior citizens (65+) and job seekers: £6. Family Friendly Quiz Night Fundraiser – in aid of Rossendale Responsible Animal Rescue

Where: Bacup Cricket Club, Lanehead Lane, Bacup, OL13 9BT. When: Friday, May 26 – 7pm til late.

What is involved?: Event and team quiz starts at 7.45pm. Snacks are included and there will be live music from Scarlett Skies.

Other information: Entry fee is £2 for non-quizzers. Team entry to quiz – up to five people – is £10 per team.
