HARD WORK STARTS NOW

-

I WANTED to write and say thank you to everyone who has supported me over the last seven months, and who went out on Thursday and voted for the change I believe we needed so badly in Rossendale.

The result we saw could not have been achieved without you.

I’d also like to thank our out-going councillors for their service to Rossendale over the last four years.

I have already started work to deliver, and am preparing for May 25, when the Conservatives officially take control at County Hall. We have already reaffirmed our commitments from the campaign to invest into our roads, libraries and social care, as well as every other pledge. We are committed to delivering a better council, that works in the interests of everyone.

Here in Rossendale I’d like to restate my commitment to now represent every single member in my division, regardless of how you voted. I’m here to represent you, and work across party lines to make our life here better and deliver for all.

I will keep everyone updated on the progress I make over the next four years.

Thank you again, to everyone who went out and voted and ensured your voice was heard.

The closeness of the results proved beyond doubt that here in Rossendale, every single vote really does count. David Foxcroft via email
