A dad’s thanks to Jenny after appeal

ON Tuesday morning, a grateful dad began a hunt for a woman he knew only as Jenny from Ramsbottom.

The man appealed on Facebook for anyone who knew Jenny from Ramsbottom as she’d looked after his daughter after the explosion in Manchester on Monday night.

The man’s daughter suffered multiple lacerations and shrapnel wounds.

Jenny from Ramsbottom kept his daughter company and called an ambulance.

His daughter is now recovering at home.

After a day-long search on social media, he made contact with Jenny to thank her for what she did.

His appeal is one of many you’ve probably heard in recent days as people sought to say thanks to total strangers who helped them, their relatives or their friends during very dark hours.

None of us can ever know how we’d react in the situation Jenny from Ramsbottom found herself in.

I only hope that should I ever find myself in such a situation, I’d have the presence of mind to do what Jenny from Ramsbottom did.
