MRS Elaine Johnson, of Riverside bungalow, Cloughfold died on Tuesday, June 27, aged 56.

She worked in childcare at Venture Farm.

She enjoyed travelling, walking, watching television and socialisin­g.

Elaine leaves her partner Dave, parents Marjorie and Ellis, children Anthony and Ryan, sister Kath and brother-in-law Martin, Diane and her partner Jan. She also leaves grandchild­ren Hannah and Shay and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service took place on Wednesday, July 5 at St Mary’s Church, Rawtenstal­l followed by a burial at Rawtenstal­l Cemetery officiated by Rev. Julie Barrett.

Donations in memory of Elaine may be made to the British Lung Foundation.

BRIAN HARGREAVES

MR Brian Hargreaves of Hameldon Road, Loveclough died on Tuesday, June 27, aged 74.

He worked as an engineer for Platt Saco Lowell in Accrington.

Brian enjoyed crown green bowls, caravan holidays, fishing, snooker and sport. Brian was a MR Tony Bolton, of Newchurch Road, Bacup died on Tuesday, June 27, aged 66.

Tony left school and joined the police in Bury, working with uniform and CID.

He also worked as a pub landlord, bus driver, security officer, deputy MR Jack Green, of Crawshawbo­oth but more recently Highfield Hall MR John Davis, of Bacup, died on Monday, June 26, aged 72.

He worked most of his life as a shoe operative at JH Hirst in Waterfoot. He lived the majority of his life in the Rossendale valley and was very well-known by lots of people.
