doubly hard to make up for the loss of co workers because they care and want to do a good job. We need to think about them also, they will be most definitely feeling the cuts and will feel it more over time with an increase of negative people these days, they will have more and more to deal with and soon it won’t matter if they are busting their asses for us, trying to keep us safe, to make up for government funding, they just won’t be able to stretch themselves far enough. And we will feel it but not before they do. The police do an amazing job protecting us, but we all will definitely suffer for it, if not now but in the future. Just look at our semi broken country just lately, everything that’s happened, we also work our asses off to help others in the communities who are going through hell, but at the end of the day, there are never enough of the right people, or any of the right people, to help them enough, to an acceptable standard, or at least not in an acceptable time frame after people have shouted and shouted. That has been proven lately in places other than ours. Nathan McLean: My question is why has the Chief Constable only spoken up at the point he is leaving? These cuts have been happening yearon-year since the Tories came to power in 2010, so he could have spoken out and made more noise sooner! Chris Daniel: He did do years ago but politicians didn’t listen. Anthony Noblet: The residents voted for a Tory MP who supported the cuts, they get what they voted for, hard luck on the rest of us #toriesout Mark Chall: It’s all a complete mess. Losing faith in the system and I feel powerless in this situation Karl Mather: Rarely see a policeman anymore in Rawtenstall, seems they are all busy in Burnley town centre. Drug dealing off Bury Road, drinking and littering in the street, plants, hanging baskets wrecked, the louts rule the place because laws aren’t being enforced. Sheila Birt: You ring them they don’t come. Lizzie Riley-Haworth: I disagree. After getting burgled a few weeks ago I couldn’t fault the police. They were here super quick and have done an amazing job even tho they had all these cuts. I can’t praise them enough. Pete Costello: Thing is Lizzie Riley-Haworth if there were more police on the streets, it would be more of a deterrent for criminals robbing houses... John Williams: Write to your local MP and tell them you want to see more cops on the street. Janet Boon I am in agreement, I have rang for what I considered was a serious threat and in their opinion it did not even warrant a visit.

Also I have tried to ring three different numbers to report an incident and got no answer had to resort to an email with the reponse of we will get back to you with any information. That was two days ago.

You don’t even get your local bobby as there isn’t one and we end up ringing everwhere, it is so frustrating.
