Fell joy at trio

- SHELDAN KEAY

RA MS BOTTOM United Mark Fell is delighted with the club’s business over the past week after three new players signed up.

Tom Williams, Aaron Fleming and Ben Richardson have all put pen to paper on deals for the forthcoming season.

The trio are the latest names to join Ramsbot- tom, and Fell is excited about how the squad is shaping up.

“We’ve got top class options going forward now and some very versatile players,” he said.

“Tom is a very good player who knows the club well. He can play centrally or on either flank, and he can also be used at right back.

“He’s had success at the club before, knows how the club works and that’s important.

“We watched Aaron twice last season and he was excellent in both games. He has the potential to be an absolute star in this league and go on to have a good career in the game.

“The only negative is the three game ban that he brings with him from last season!

“Ben was a key target for us from the get-go. We sat down with him over a month ago and although in the end it’s taken a bit of doing, Ben has impressed me with his professional approach.

“He’s a top player in this league and an excellent character off the pitch.”

Williams is a familiar face for the supporters after the pacy forward played 32 games for the Rams in the 2014/15 EvoStik Premier Division campaign.

Fleming started his career at Blackpool before joining AFC Fylde until he was 21. A move abroad saw him play in Belgium for Lebeke before returning to Bamber Bridge where he played last season.

The 22-year-old will bring pace, energy and trickery to the Rams midfield and fans may only have to wait a few days to see him in action as the Rams travel to Tempest for a friendly on Saturday.

Former Glossop star Richardson brings an impressive CV, with the 28-year-old winger hitting double figures in goals for the Hillmen last season.

The Manchester-based school teacher was very much in demand over the summer after announcing his Glossop departure, and the Rams have had to fend off suitors from rivals in the Evo-Stik Premier Division for his signature.
