TEA TRIUMPH

AN afternoon tea at a Stacksteads church organised by a mum and her daughter has raised £525 for charity.

Katie Heath, 12, and her mum Elizabeth, from Bacup, held the MPS Society fundraiser at Acre Mill Baptist Church.

Katie’s brother Jack had rare genetic condition MPS II Hunter Syndrome, and passed away in June 2013, aged 13.

The family still collect stamps to help raise money for the charity and urged any businesses to donate any used stamps.
