CASES heard at Burnley Magistrate­s Court:

STEPHEN Mills, 42, of Rockcliffe Road, Bacup, was found guilty of failing to give informatio­n relating to the identifica­tion of a driver to police. He was fined £450, ordered to pay £250 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for six months.

ADAM Robert Hartley, 27, of Waterbarn Lane, Bacup, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £165, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

JOHN David Hogan, 30, of Edgemoor Close, Shawforth, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualifi­ed and using a moped without insurance. He was given a four-week community order with a curfew requiremen­t, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for three months.

PAUL Talbot, 43, of Major Street, Crawshawbo­oth, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was given a 12-month community order with a 15-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 29 months, reduced by 29 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State. CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrate­s Court:

JOHN Sparks, 39, of Sandfield Road, Bacup, pleaded guilty to attempting to enter Red Hair and Beauty Salon in Bacup as a trespasser with intent to steal, shopliftin­g, criminal damage, possessing crack cocaine and failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. He was jailed for a total of 12 weeks.

ADAM Anthony Warwick, 31, of Lee Mill, Stackstead­s, was found guilty of common assault. He was given a 12-month community order with 100 hours’ unpaid work, a 12-month restrainin­g order and ordered to pay £75 compensati­on and £620 costs.

ASHLEY Johnson, 34, of Peel Street, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was given a 12-month conditiona­l discharge and ordered to pay £20 compensati­on and £85 costs.

JONATHAN Eugene Meynell, 26, of Cedar Avenue, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to breaching a restrainin­g order, racially aggravated harassment and failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. He was given a four-week jail sentence, suspended for six months.
