Warrener is finding form

-

CYCLING DEREK SCHOFIELD ON Tuesday evening it was Aidan Holgate of the North Lancs RC who took a clear win in the latest round of the Rossendale Road club’s 10m time trial series, in an excellent time in windy conditions of 24:23.

Paul Warrener of the home club appears to regaining some of his previous form and finished in second, well clear of third placed Liam Lever.

Only 30 seconds covered the next four riders who included Chris Tomlinson, making a welcome return to racing on the roads.

At the weekend, road works caused the 25 mile Cheshire points event to be cut to 10 mile and Chris Thomas couldn’t repeat his PB of the previous week, finishing in 26:54.

Derek Schofield also struggled on the return leg into the wind, with a time of 24:54.

The Harry Law series continues at Hapton next Tuesday, with Paul Warrener now topping the club series.
