NOMINATIONS FOR 200 FIRMS
ORGANISERS received around 200 different nominations for this year’s Rossendale Business Awards.
Specialist categories have been well supported, with 16 different nomin-ations for Enterprising Woman and 14 for Pride of our Valley. More trophies than ever before will be handed out at the presentation evening on Wednesday, November 15 at The Riverside, Whitworth.
Rob Carder, chairman of organisers Valley at Work, said: “This year we had 118 different businesses, individuals and groups put forward and the independent judging panel will face a difficult decision to compile a shortlist. I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time and the trouble to complete a nomination.”
It is the eighth year the awards have been held and all finalists will be awarded one free ticket. Additional tickets, priced £30, will be available by emailing enquiries@ valleyatwork.co.uk. This year three new awards will be contested: the Free Press Award for corporate social respons-ibility, Artisan business and Service business.
