A DRIVER was taken to hospital after a collision with a parked car.

Firefighters, police and paramedics were called to Helmshore Road in Haslingden at around 12.15pm on Friday, October 6.

Lancashire Police said the ‘elderly’ woman was driving a silver Ford Fusion when it collided with a parked black Audi.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Two fire engines and crews from Haslingden and Rawtenstall responded to a 999 call reporting a road traffic collision between two cars.

“No-one was trapped and firefighters ensured there were no remaining hazards in respect of fire, fuel or oil spillage or debris.”
