A DOG called ‘Nemo’ was rescued after falling 10ft onto a disused quarry ledge.
Rescuers were called to Lee Quarry, Bacup at 12.25pm on Tuesday, October 10.
Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team members abseiled down to him and safely returned him to his happy owner. An RPMRT spokesperson said: “Today, we really did ‘find Nemo’.”
They also warned other walkers to use ‘extreme caution’ when near disused quarries.
