Car lands on roof in smash drama
A CAR flipped onto its roof in a dramatic smash.
Police were called to the crash in Peel Brow in Ramsbottom at around midnight on Friday, October 6.
Witnesses say the driver managed to escape the silver Mitsubishi unhurt before fleeing the crash scene. One resident, who asked not to be named, said: “The lad wasn’t hurt who was driving, amazingly. He just slid out and ran off. Let’s just hope that the police manage to catch the man, as he has sadly left a lot of damage behind him for my neighbours.”
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: “We were called to a car on its roof in Peel Brow in Ramsbottom at around 12.05 in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police attended. There were no injuries.” Police confirmed the driver fled the scene.
