Personal bests for Evolving new girls

-

THE seventh round of the NW cyclo-cross series took place at Ulverston on Saturday and those who ventured North were rewarded with a super course and event organised by Barrow Wheelers, on a cold, but dry, day.

The course was challenging with several short and steep bankings giving riders the choice to ride or jump off and run, together with a forced run up the steps in front of the clubhouse.

The Taylor family came out tops for TRIATHLON ON Sunday, eleven members of Team Evolving made the trip to Lytham St Anne’s for the Remembrance Day Windmill 10 km race.

Abby and Ebony Hatton made their team debuts and what debuts they made, both running a personal best for 10km.

Joining the girls were team members Dan and Becky who had a vested interest in how the girls got on as proud parents.

Also running in team colours were Jon and Kirstie Higgins, Emma and Paul Smith, Karen Parkinson, Rich Rowlands and coach Jahn Hanson.

Before the race began all the runners observed a two minute silence to remember those fallen.

The conditions were wintery with runners facing a tough headwind for the last 4km.

With seven out of 11 team members picking up personal bests it was a great day out for Team Evolving.

Anyone interested in joining can find ‘Evolving Tri Training’ on Facebook or email coach Jahn Hanson at jahn.hanson@outlook.
