MRS Elsie Ramsbottom, of Deerplay Rest Home, Weir, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 15, aged 96.

She was born in Stackstead­s where she lived most of her life before moving to Weir 10 years ago. She was employed in the footwear industry for many years.

She enjoyed being surrounded by her extended loving family.

Widow of the late Herbert she leaves daughter Claire and her partner John, granddaugh­ter Joanne and her husband Glenn, granddaugh­ter Jayne and her husband Philip, great-grandchild­ren Ellie, George, Grace, Leia, Ollie and Noah, nephews, nieces and many friends.

A funeral service will be held at 9.50am on Friday, November 24, at Knight and Boys Chapel of Rest, Stackstead­s, followed by cremation at Burnley Crematoriu­m at 10.40am conducted by Mr David Clegg.

DEREK COOPER

MR Derek Cooper, of Bacup, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, at North Manchester General Hospital, aged 71.

Derek was born and lived all his life in Bacup and was for 32 years the much-loved husband of Doreen.

Derek will be deeply missed by Doreen as well as by his brothers and sister-in-law, his nephews, nieces and many friends.

A short service will be held at 12.50pm on Tuesday, November 28, conducted by Bernadette Nuttall, at Woods Funeral Service, Bacup, prior to cremation at Burnley Crematoriu­m at 1.40pm.

Family flowers only, however donations if desired, suggested to British Heart Foundation.

MRS Elizabeth Landers, of Regent Street, Bacup, passed away on Saturday, November 11, aged 86, at home.

She was a retired home help. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family, dancing and socialisin­g.

She was a member of the British Legion and Rosemount Social Club.

Wife of the late Clarence, she leaves Daughter Geraldine, Sons Craig, Paul, Anthony, sister Susan together with grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

A funeral service will be held at 2.20pm on Friday, November 24, at Burnley Crematoriu­m, administer­ed by Fr. Frank Thorpe, followed by cremation.

THOMAS HARVEY

MR Thomas Harvey, of Greensnook Lane, Bacup, passed away at home on Friday, November 17, aged 101.

He had been employed as a Shoe Operative for D. Ashworth Ltd where he worked up until his retirement.

He enjoyed fishing in later life, and also enjoyed watching TV and completing crossword puzzles.

Husband of the late Stella, father of late son Barrie he leaves daughter Sheila, son Colin,

Daughter-in-Law Pearl, together with four Grandchild­ren, 11 Great-Grandchild­ren and one Great-GreatGrand­child.

A Celebratio­n of Life service will take place at 11.20am on Tuesday, November 28, at Burnley Crematoriu­m, administer­ed by Rev. Philip Norris, followed by cremation. MRS Winifred Morris, of Helmcroft Court, Helmshore, died peacefully on Thursday, November 16, aged 83.

Born in Rossendale, Winifred lived most of her life in and around the Rossendale Valley. She spent many years as Officer in Charge of both Ravensgart­h and Whinberry View homes for the elderly and will be known by many for her dedication to her work and the wellbeing of the people in her care.

Wife of the late Anthony Nolan, and more recently Derek Morris, Winifred was a much-loved mother, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r. She leaves three sons: Stephen, Antony and John; daughters-in-law Anne, Helen and Lindsay; grandchild­ren: Thomas and his wife Jodie, Byronie and husband Michael, Liam, Caroline and her husband Vinnie. She also leaves three greatgrand­aughters: Winnie, Lily-Mae and Harper Rose. She was much loved by all and will be missed greatly.

Her funeral is at 11am on Tuesday, November 28, at St Mary’s, Bury Road, Haslingden, followed by interment at Haslingden Cemetery.
