Your name: Dominic Myerscough. What do you do?: I create and perform in familyfriendly theatre shows for Happy Campers Theatre. What prompted you to become a performer?: My uncle was a comedian, my dad worked backstage at a theatre, and I loved school drama lessons. What productions have you worked on in the past?: I’ve performed in all sorts of shows from Shakespeare to New Writing and I’m always open to trying new things. What is the best thing about Rossendale?: The beautiful scenery. Where is your favourite place in Rossendale?: Up on the hills, overlooking the Valley (with my dog, Bailey). What’s the most memorable performance you have done?: Performing in campsites over the summer with Happy Campers’ first show “Come-bye!” was a new and exciting experience. I love performing in unique and unusual locations. What are you most looking forward to in the future?: Performing Happy Campers’ latest show ‘igloo’ at The Boo Theatre this Christmas. I’m excited to share our Arctic tale with families from across the Valley. Happy Campers Theatre are sharing their latest show ‘igloo’ with children aged 2-6 and their families at The Boo Theatre on Thursday, December 28 and Friday, December 29 at 11am and 3pm. The show has a sweet, nostalgic feel and uses traditional Arctic tales, original music, puppetry and a snow-shower of fun. There will also be free pre-show craft activities an hour before each performance for little ones (and big ones!) to enjoy. Advance tickets: £8 adults / £6 concession / free – two and under.
