Rammy bring in trio to boost squad

-

TONY CUNNINGHAM RAMSBOTTOM United have added a trio of new signings to their squad ahead of the busy winter schedule.

Arriving are full back Callum Spooner, centre half Jacques Kpohomouh and forward Yves Zama.

Spooner, 19 is a product of the youth team at Bolton and son of former pro Nicky Spooner. An energetic right back has trained with the squad this week and is expected in the squad for the weekend’s trip to Bamber Bridge.

Kpohomouh arrives on a 28 day loan from Conference North club Southport where he’s made 14 appearances this season. Formerly of Bangor and Radcliffe, Jacques is a great athlete and Southport were quick to commit him to a contract in the summer. He can play as a centre half or full back.

Finally, striker Yves Zama also arrives from Southport but on dual registration. The 6ft plus forward has made seven Southport appearances this season.

Rams boss Mark Fell said: “With Josh Heaton going to Darlington and Liam Brownhill injured we needed some defensive additions and Callum and Jacques are good young players with excellent pedigree.

“I’ve watched Yves for over a year and every time I’ve seen him he’s been very good, strong, quick, great in the air and he works his socks off - all three have trained this week and I’m sure will play some part at the weekend.”
