Fire chiefs investigate derelict garage blaze

AN investigation has been launched after a derelict garage fire in Haslingden.

Fire crews were called to South Shore Street at around 5.10am on Wednesday, January 10.

A fire and rescue service spokesperson said: “Firefighters used one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire which also affected a neighbour’s garage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
