GET THE BUS FOR MORE HELP

AS part of the digital garage, Google has transforme­d a traditiona­l doubledeck­er bus into a mobile training hub, which is now touring Greater Manchester offering free digital skills training on the doorstep for people who can’t make it into the city centre.

For those that can visit the venue, you can register inside or online to take part in the free workshops or one-to-one mentoring from the team of expert coaches.

The bus is due to visit Bury library on February 20. You can sign up at: g.co/ manchester­garage reach out to a broader range of people. This includes those who want to boost their careers, job seekers, students and mothers coming back to the workforce after being away.”

Mayor Andy Burnham believes this inclusive training hub will be a major boon for the city and region.

He said: “We have set out ambitions to be a leading digital city in the Greater Manchester Strategy and the fact that Google has decided to reopen the Manchester site shows we are taking steps towards achieving that aim.”

Alina says the garage, which opened at the end of 2017 occupying space on 39-43 King Street, has already attracted diverse interest.
