Rusty Rossy on a revenge mission

-

RUGBY UNION SHELDAN KEAY ROSSENDALE RUFC will look to put a frustrating week behind them when they are set to welcome Harrogate RUFC to Marl Pits this weekend.

Rossendale head into the match having not played for two weeks, as their planned home game against Billingham last weekend was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.

They’ll now hope that lightning doesn’t strike twice when they’re scheduled to have another home match against Harrogate on Saturday.

Rossendale are seventh in the Northern Premier table, having won nine and lost six of their 15 games so far this season.

They have a number of games in hand on all of the other sides in the division, with some of the teams already played as many as 19 games this season.

They head into the match on the back of their first defeat since November, after suffering a 31-14 loss at Preston Grasshoppers earlier this month.

Harrogate have performed well this season and are in third place, level on points with second placed Lymm. Harrogate have won 13, drawn one and lost four of their matches this season.

They head into the match at Rossendale in good form, going unbeaten in their last five games, winning four of them. They picked up a 12-0 win at home to Morley last weekend.

Rossendale will have revenge on their mind as they suffered a 36-3 defeat to Harrogate in the reverse fixture back in October.
