ROSSENDALE REVEALED

-

BARRY Hyde, member of the Promoting Rossendale Partnership Board, highlights The Rossendale Woman of the Year FOR over a decade Rossendale Hospice has been recognising and celebrating the achievements of remarkable women in Rossendale through the ‘Rossendale Woman of the Year’ initiative. Previous winners of the award include Dorothy Mitchell, Louise Cooper, Leesa Amin and last year’s winner Carole Watchorn, all recognised as inspirational community heroes.

Rossendale Hospice is again on the hunt for outstanding women in the Rossendale community for nomination for the title Rossendale Woman of the Year 2018.

It is entirely in the gift of the Rossendale community to identify and nominate women in their community who in their opinion have made a significant difference to the community through their voluntary work.

The individual may be making a difference through their work with a voluntary group or as an individual. Often these ‘unsung heroes’ work behind the scenes and are not given the recognition they deserve.

This is your opportunity to highlight these women and their work in the community. The nominations are open until Thursday, March 1, so either pick up a nomination form from Rossendale Hospice or print one off at www.rossendalehospice. org/rwy or simply email your nomination to sam.morris@ rossendalehospice.org.

The nominees will be invited to a presentation lunch at St Mary’s Chambers in Rawtenstall on Friday, April 20, from 12 noon, where the winner will be announced. The presentation will include reception drinks, followed by a threecourse meal. Tickets are £45 with an early bird discount of £5 for tickets purchased before March 16.
