MR Thomas Bromley, of Heathfield, Harwood, Bolton, formerly of Booth Street, Waterfoot, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, aged 85.

He worked at Lambert Howarth, Denric Footwear and Hardmans as a clicker before retiring from Denric Footwear.

He was a cricket fan and enjoyed watching the sport at Old Trafford. He also enjoyed holidays, reading, crosswords and music. He also loved spending time with family and friends and going to the theatre.

Husband of the late Ena, he leaves partner Brenda, son Mark, daughters Alison and Racheal, four grandchild­ren Emily, Jessica, Ruby and Gracie together with greatgrand­son Dylan.

He also leaves sister Lilian, sister-in-law Sheila, brothers-in-law Bill, Kevin and Ray, as well as nephews and nieces.

A funeral service will be held at 10.30am on Monday, March 19, at St James the Less RC Church, administer­ed by Father Tony McBride, followed by interment at Rawtenstal­l Cemetery.

Family flowers only please, however donations, if desired to Sepsis Trust UK.

CLIFFORD KENYON

MR Clifford Kenyon, of Highfield Road, Edenfield, passed away on Saturday, March 3, aged 81.

He was a retired heat-sealer.

Father of the late Susan, MRS Alice Lynsky nee Lord, of Hazel Grove, Rawtenstal­l, passed away peacefully at Holme Manor Nursing Home on Sunday, March 11, aged 87.

She worked at Starline Rawtenstal­l as a sewer, and at various other factories. She also worked at Supasnaps in Rawtenstal­l.

She loved dancing at the Astoria and as an artist, loved painting and drawing with many of her pictures displayed in Whitaker Park Museum.

She enjoyed reading, spending time with family and grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren.

Sister of late Margaret and Grace, she leaves husband Fred, daughters Ann and Susan, sons Peter and David, sons-inlaw Brent and David, and daughters-in-law Shirley and Catherine. She also leaves grandchild­ren Rawnie, Patrick, Cheryl, and John, and greatgrand­children Annabell, Ava, Tommy, Max and Ellie-May. MRS Margaret Collins passed away peacefully at Highfield Hall Nursing Home, on Friday, March 9, aged 89.

Born in Bacup, she worked at John Maden and Sons for many years as a seamstress. After her retirement, she worked as a welfare assistant at Thorn Primary School. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and, in later years spent time painting. MR Bernard Payton passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1 at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, following a brief illness, aged 86.

Born in Salford, Bernard, his mother and sisters moved to Rawtenstal­l during the Second World War. Bernard’s father, John, was killed in active service in the Royal Navy. MR James Marshall Woodrup, of Brandwood Road, Stackstead­s, passed away on Thursday, March 1, aged 40.
