MR Paul Nuttall, of Bacup Road, Waterfoot, passed away on Thursday, February 15, aged 42.

He enjoyed bell-ringing, and loved flying, holidays, aircraft and Country music.

Brother of the late Gary and Jordan, he leaves mum Angela and step-father James, dad Derek and his partner Rita, sisters Wendy, Donna, Carrie Anne, Vanessa and Niki, brother Ricky, together with aunties, uncles, nephews and nieces and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 9.40am on Friday, March 16, at Accrington Crematoriu­m administer­ed by David Ireland, followed by cremation.

Family flowers only please, however donations, if desired, suggested to Cancer Research UK.

MARGARET COLLINS

Margaret volunteere­d at Age Concern for many years too. She was a devoted mother and grandmothe­r who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Wife of the late Clifford and mother of the late Elizabeth, Margaret leaves a sister Betty Scott, daughters Susan and Anne, grandchild­ren Hannah, Amy, Claudia and Harry.

The funeral will take place at 1.45pm on Friday, March 23, at Longholme Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. David Burrows, followed by cremation at Burnley at 3pm.

Grateful thanks to Lavern Bonus and all the carers at Highfield Hall who made Margaret’s last days comfortabl­e.

BERNARD PAYTON

For many years Bernard worked at David Whitehead’s Higher Mill, served briefly as a postman then worked until his retirement in 1996 at Greenwood and Coope, Tottington.

Bernard enjoyed the theatre and listening to classical music. He was a member of the Hallé Society and regularly attended concerts at the Bridgewate­r Hall and loved to visit shows in the West End during his trips to London.

Although Bernard had no children of his own, he was a loyal and loving family man, who enjoyed the company of his extended family of three generation­s of nephews and nieces who will miss Bernard greatly.

Son of the late John and Ada Payton, Bernard is survived by his sisters Theresa, Patricia and Myra, nephews and nieces Michael, Norah, Karen and Philip, great-nephews and nieces Daniel, Sarah, Steven, Erin, Lydia, Matthew, Alex and Bradley and his great, great-nieces and nephews Amelia, Imogen, Alexis, Dylan, Bryn and Ashton.

The family would like to thank the GPs at St James Medical Practice, the North West Ambulance Service, paramedics and the staff at the Royal Blackburn Hospital for their help and dedicated care for Bernard.

The funeral will be held at 10.30am on Wednesday, March 21, at St James The Less Church, Rawtenstal­l, followed by cremation at Burnley Crematoriu­m.

JAMES WOODRUP

He enjoyed playing pool and snooker at Beaconsfie­ld Club, Stackstead­s.

He leaves partner Penka, mother Sarah, father Derek, together with sisters Lynn and Joyce, brother Billy, nieces and nephews. He also leaves close friend Stephen together with many other friends.

A celebratio­n of life service will be held at 12noon on Friday, March 23, at Burnley Crematoriu­m, administer­ed by Mr David Ireland, followed by cremation.

COLIN INGHAM

MR Colin Ingham, of Ryefield Avenue West, died on Thursday, March 8 at his home, aged 82.

Colin was a draughtsma­n/engineer and spent most of his working life with S. S. Stott Engineers of Haslingden until its closure, later working for work for Ajax Engineerin­g, Bolton, from where he retired. He was one of the last surviving Graners.

He spent his National Service with the R.A.F.

A season ticket holder and avid fan of Blackburn Rovers, he enjoyed researchin­g the family tree, crossword puzzles and reading.

He also liked walking the dogs, a game of snooker and bowls at Greenfield Bowling Club, Haslingden, whilst in his younger days he enjoyed fishing.

He leaves his wife Gillian, daughter Vivienne, son Stephen, daughter-inlaw Karen, together with grandsons Joshua, James and Michael.

The funeral will take place at 1.40pm on Tuesday, March 20, with a service and cremation at Accrington Crematoriu­m officiated by Rev. Judith Balkwell.

JUNE HAWORTH

MRS June Haworth, of Slack Head Farm, Rising Bridge, died on Tuesday, March 6, aged 81.

She leaves her husband David, sons Andrew and Ian, daughters Sheila and Linda, grandchild­ren Tom, Philip, Kimberly, Georgina, Austin, Lucy, and Sophie, and new great-grandchild­ren Taron and Ruby.

June was a member and elder of Haslingden United Reformed Church until its closure and then a member of Manchester Road Methodist Church.

The funeral will take place on Friday, March 16 with a service at Manchester Road Methodist Church, Haslingden at 11am followed by cremation at Accrington Crematoriu­m officiated by Rev Ron Mulligan.
