WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page in the last week:

PRICE tag for Rosso sale revealed (Council leader hails £3.7m bus sale as a ‘good deal’, May 11) David Foxcroft: Just to clarify... the `£ 3.7m’ described isn’t actually the amount. That number includes the potential money which may be made by the sale of the Haslingden depot. Which hasn’t happened yet. So if it doesn’t sell for the expected amount it won’t make the £3.7 million claimed. With regards to previous offers, it would be helpful to know if they did or didn’t include the depot, as again that could be misleading. Steve Hughes: Equally, if it’s sold for more then it will be more than the £ 3.7 million claimed. Gary Cunliffe: I think it would be good if both sides stopped playing political football for once and gave us all straight answers, be it rossobus sale, the AAAW farce or why Rawtenstall is getting millions hurled at it. Scott Leeming Vicky Manning: When can “the taxpayer” expect to receive their part of this deal? Bev Nixon: Certainly hasn’t improved services to the valley or to Accrington! Paul Bailey: Council tax rebate on the cards then or is it been wasted on phase 2 of the town centre Robert Birtwistle: Looking forward to the big reduction in council tax! Trevor Mayor: Just a thought, don’t Labour want to stop the privatisation of public resources, and even buy back previously privatised companies... Kathleen Tomlinson: Not a good deal for commuters in the valley Andy Coulton: If £3.7m was a good price, how can £5m not matter that they lost it? # logic Jean Nield: Our buses haven’t been turning up at all, shame the elderly can’t get out to do their shopping, somebody somewhere will have benefited from this takeover but it’s not the elderly people up Balladen! Neil Rothwell: Maybe they could subsidise the road repairs then we may see some benefit.
