Take part in Night Bike Ride for just £15
ROSSENDALE Free Press readers are being offered the chance to take part in the landmark Manchester to Blackpool Night Bike Ride at a bargain price.
Working in partnership with the British Heart Foundation, the Free Press has arranged for readers to be able to register for the landmark event for just £15 - saving £20 on the normal online price and £25 on the on-thenight fee.
The ride will take place on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7.
The epic ride will finish beneath the Blackpool illuminations which will be left on especially for the occasion.
Cyclists will set off from Old Tra f f o rd Cricket Ground at midnight on the Saturday and will take a 52-mile route to Blackpool, arriving in the early hours of Sunday morning. The route is largely flat but will be a p hy s i c a l challenge. Most of the riders, however, will be riding in a group to spur each other on. The ride will largely be on quiet roads and will be fully marshalled and clearly sign-posted.
There will also be first aid and medical support and refreshment stops.
The British Heart Foundation will be laying on transport to bring the cyclists – and their bikes – back to Manchester.
Entrants must be aged 18 or over. Your entry includes training support, fundraising support, a downloadable route map, free water, medical support and a medal at the finish line.
