CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrate­s Court:

JONATHAN David Hodson, 44, of Church Road, Kearsley, pleaded guilty to two counts of shopliftin­g in Rawtenstal­l. He was given a 28-day jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a supervisio­n requiremen­t and a three-month curfew requiremen­t.

GARY Stevenson, 53, of Redbrook Close, Farnworth, pleaded guilty to shopliftin­g in Rawtenstal­l. He was given a two-month community order with a curfew requiremen­t.

STEPHEN Kyme, 27, of Fairfield Avenue, Waterfoot, admitted failing to comply with the requiremen­ts of a community order. His order was varied to include an extra 10 hours unpaid work and he was ordered to pay £60 costs.

SAJID Hussain, 29, of Deardengat­e Croft, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to three counts of shopliftin­g, one count of attempted shopliftin­g and possessing cannabis all while subject to a suspended sentence order. He was jailed for 10 weeks.

DARREN Robert Alfred Atkin, 38, of Booth Crescent, Waterfoot, admitted failing to comply with the supervisio­n requiremen­ts imposed following his release from prison and breaching a restrainin­g order. He was given a 21-day supervisio­n default order with a curfew requiremen­t, a 16-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a 10-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t and ordered to pay £145 costs.

LIAM Stuart James, 21, of Hop Street, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to allowing himself to be carried in a car knowing it had been taken without the owner’s consent and failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. He was given a six-month conditiona­l discharge and ordered to pay £250 compensati­on and £85 costs.

DONNA Louise Monks, 39, of Walnut Street, Bacup, pleaded guilty to shopliftin­g. She was given a six-month conditiona­l discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.

BRAD Cunliffe, 31, of Rising Bridge Road, Rising Bridge, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requiremen­ts of a community order. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

CHRISTOPHE­R Robert Brown, 50, of Studbrow, Whitworth, pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching a restrainin­g order. He was given a 28-day community order with a curfew requiremen­t, a new 28-month restrainin­g order and ordered to pay £85 costs.

FRANCES Smith, 48, of Tunstead Road, Bacup, pleaded guilty to drink driving. She was given a 12-month community order with 100 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 18 months, reduced by 18 weeks if she completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

MICHAEL Shaune Steers, 29, of Pennine Road, Bacup, pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty. He was given a 12-month conditiona­l discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.

CASES heard at Burnley Magistrate­s Court:

AMJID Hussain, 34, of Newchurch Road, Stackstead­s, admitted failing to comply with the requiremen­ts of a community order. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

NICOLE Lyth, 18, of Higher Blackthorn, Bacup, pleaded guilty to drink driving. She was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 21 months, reduced by 21 weeks if she completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

ANNE Perkins, 55, of Heather Bank, Rawtenstal­l, pleaded guilty to two counts of benefit fraud. She was given an eight-week community order with a curfew requiremen­t and ordered to pay £120 costs.
