THE climbing wall at the Adrenaline Centre, Haslingden, has been given a £24,000 face lift.

The Grip & Go centre, which has attracted more than 50,000 visitors a year for three years, has been revamped by Rossendale Leisure Trust.

The climbing area has been refurbished, with a new traverse wall and themed walls including the Rip Saw, Tree House, Jungle Wall, a futuristic wall and a leaf wall made to look like it comes from a fairytale.

A new Energise Pass has also been introduced, giving participants unlimited access to Grip & Go, as well as other adventure activities run by the leisure trust.

Ross McCowan, facility manager at Grip & Go, said “We’re really pleased with how the climbing wall looks and the new walls give the climbers a new challenge.”

Rossendale Leisure Trust chief executive Ken Masser said: “We are delighted to have refurbished Grip & Go as part of our ongoing efforts to provide great value leisure activities to local people. As well as serving our community, Grip & Go also brings in more than 30,000 visits per year from outside of the Valley, which is something we are very proud of.

“Later this year we will hopefully be able to deliver some further investment into Marl Pits as well, enhancing both of our flagship facilities.”
