LYNN BENSON

MRS Lynn Benson, of Grasmere Road, Haslingden, passed away at home surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, August 9, aged 64.

She worked as a pharmaceutical assistant.

Her hobbies and interests included reading, badminton and watching tennis with wine. She also enjoyed swimming, singing, golf, and films - especially Disney.

She was a member of Haslingden choir, Green Haworth Golf Club, and Badgercote Badminton Club.

She leaves husband Mr Clive Benson, Neal and Kelly, Christopher Hulme-Benson, mum and dad Bill and Jean, and sister Janice Ratcliffe, together with three grandchildren Ellie, Flynn and Molly.

A funeral service will be held at 1.40pm on Tuesday, August 21, at Burnley Crematorium.

Family flowers only please, however donations if desired, requested to Cancer Research and Rossendale Hospice.

If anyone is unable to attend the service at the Crematorium, they are more than welcome to attend the wake at Rawtenstall Cricket Club.

There will also be a memory box located at the entrance of the Crematorium – please think of a memory that you have of Lynn from whenever – no matter what – and put them in the box. These will be collected throughout the service and will be read at the Cricket Club.
