JUDITH MORRIS
MRS Judith Elizabeth Morris, of Bacup Road, Waterfoot, died at Royal Blackburn Hospital on Saturday, September 15, aged 57.
Judith obtained two university degrees. She retired from Asda five years ago and had various jobs prior.
Recently, she was a full- time home keeper. She was an artist and enjoyed craft work and travel. She dedicated herself to husband and family.
Wife of Ron ( Joe) Morris, she had sons Christopher, Adam, Nathan and Peter, granddaughter Ruby and grandson Lewis.
The celebration of life service, conducted by Philip Norris, will be held on Saturday, September 29, at 11.20am, at Burnley Crematorium. Family flowers only with donations to Cancer Research UK.

ROBERT TINDALL HANNAH
MR Robert Tindall Hannah, of Hightown, Whitewell Bottom, died at home on Tuesday, September 18, aged 74.
He was a HGV driver and retired from Hindles Transport.
He enjoyed an active social life with a wide circle of friends and also enjoyed spending weekends with his wife and friends at their caravan in Lytham.
He leaves his wife Kathleen, daughters Nicola and Karen and four grandchildren.
The celebration of life, conducted by Mr David Ireland, was held on Wednesday, September 26 at Burnley Crematorium. Donations to Macmillan Cancer Support.

ALAN CLAWSON
MR Alan Clawson, of Joe Connolly Way, Waterfoot, died at home on Wednesday, September 19, aged 87.
Alan was originally from Homebank, Stacksteads, and spent 26 years in Pamplie, France, before returning to Rossendale in 2016.
He was a farmer and was also a member of Kimberley Club, Stacksteads, and the Conservative Club and played snooker for them. His interests included family, cricket and snooker.
Husband of Edna, he had children Janet, John, Ian and Glen, seven grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
A celebration of life, conducted by the Rev Philip Norris, will be held at Burnley Crematorium, on Wednesday, October 3, at 1.40pm. This will be followed by his cremation. Family flowers only with donations to Cancer Research UK.

CAROLINE CAIN
CAROLINE Patricia Cain nee Maden died peacefully at Pendleside Hospice on Tuesday, September 18.
Born in 1966, Caroline was a nurse for 34 years, first at Burnley General Hospital and then at Royal BB Hospital.
She enjoyed many holidays abroad and also in Dartmouth and the Lakes.
Caroline was the beloved wife of John and mother of Douglas, Andrew, and Nicole, the daughter of Ann and Donald, and sister to Pauline and Jennifer.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 28, at St John’s Church, Nelson, at 9.40am, and after at Burnley Crematorium.

THE family are sad to announce the passing of Mr Eric Stansfield.
Eric, of Ainsworth Nursing Home, Bolton, died at Fairfield General Hospital, Bury, on Saturday, September 15, aged 86.
The celebration of life funeral service, conducted by Samantha Green, will be held on Monday, October 1, at 10.40am, at Burnley Crematorium. All welcome.

JOHN ROBERTS
MR John ( Jack) Roberts, of Abbeywood Lodge, Ormskirk, formerly of Haslingden and Baxenden, died on Wednesday, September 19, at Southport and Formby Hospital, at the age of 83.
Husband of the late Hazel, he leaves his son David, daughter- in- law Jennifer, grandchildren Beth, Ella, Adam, Lauren and Charlotte, cousin Thelma, sister- in- law Margaret and brotherin- law Jim.
Jack worked as a construction manager for Townsend of Bolton for many years.
In his youth, he was a member of The Church Lads Brigade, and played football for St James Parish Church, Haslingden.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 2, with service and cremation at Accrington Crematorium at 1.40pm, officiated by Rev Stephen Brown. Family flowers only with donations to Dementia UK c/o Josephine Durning for Johnson, Durning and Woods Funeral Service, Haslingden.

MR Peter Jones died suddenly at his home in Haslingden on Sunday, September 9, aged 52.
He attended Haslingden High School and on leaving the Sixth Form settled onto a three- year course at Salford University to study Radiography with practical experience at Burnley Hospital.
On qualifying, he spent a short time at North Manchester then became a Radiographer at Bolton Hospital, recently completing 25 years’ service.
He enjoyed reading - especially history - gaining an extensive knowledge. He enjoyed visiting open gardens and galleries and exhibitions. He kept two tarantulas for many years including a trapdoor spider.
He enjoyed TV comedies - especially the old ones - and also science programmes.
He leaves his mother Wendy, brothers Simon and partner Kris, Robert and his wife AnneMarie, niece Rebecca and nephew Jacob, auntie Lesley, auntie Ann and uncle Harold and many cousins.
The funeral was due to be held on Thursday, September 27, at Accrington Crematorium, at 1.40pm, officiated by the Rev Stephen Brown.

ANDREW HOWORTH
MR Andrew Christopher Howorth, formerly of Stacksteads, died on Wednesday, August 29, at Royal Bolton Hospital, aged 56.
Andrew was a warehouse manager.
He enjoyed online gaming, computing and breeding and showing dogs. He also undertook voluntary work.
He had brothers John and Barry, sister Anne, sister- in- law Anne, and niece Rachel.
The funeral service, conducted by Father David Lupton, will be held on Friday, September 28, at 10.30am at Knight & Boys, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery at 11.15am.

RICHARD DUERDEN
MR Richard Glyn Duerden (Glyn) of Springhill Villas, Stacksteads, died peacefully in Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday, September 19, aged 78.
Born in Sabden he came to Bacup as a young boy. He became a gardener with Bacup Council and later became a self employed gardener for many years. He also worked as a relief driver for Holland’s Pies.
He enjoyed holidays abroad, touring holidays in his caravan and ballroom dancing.
Husband of 55 years to Pam and father to his late son Mark, he leaves son Chris and his partner Joanna, Mark’s wife Mandy, grandchildren Poppy and Jacob, sister Ann in Australia, nephews, nieces and many friends.
A service will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Monday, October 1 at 1.30pm followed by cremation at Burnley at 2.20pm conducted by Samantha Green. Family flowers only, donations to Rossendale Hospice.
