CASES heard at Burnley Magistrate­s Court:

DAVID Barlow, 22, of Kent Avenue, Oldham, pleaded guilty to using violence to gain entry to a premises in Stackstead­s and assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with a 20-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, fined £5 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

JAKE Matthew Holden, 22, of Market Street, Whitworth, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a vehicle while over the drink driving limit and using threatenin­g or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour. He was fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and given 10 points on his driving licence.

GARETH John Roscoe, 32, of Isle of Man, Ramsgreave, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two counts of speeding in Haslingden and one count of speeding in Rochdale. He was fined £292, ordered to pay £85 costs and given 10 points on his driving licence.

DANIEL James Blackman, 27, of Cheviot Close, Ramsbottom, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Edenfield. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 17 months, reduced by 17 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

CLIFFORD Jon Michael Whitbread, 39, of Burnley Road East, Waterfoot, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 14 months, reduced by 14 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State. IAN Gilheaney, 20, of Hope Street, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to using a car without insurance and failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis as part of an investigat­ion. He was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a supervisio­n requiremen­t, a 20-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 36 months.

CHRISTOPHE­R Robert Brown, 50, of Oak Street, Shawforth, pleaded guilty to breaching a restrainin­g order. He was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months with a supervisio­n requiremen­t, a 12-week curfew requiremen­t and ordered to pay £85 costs.

KEVIN Christophe­r Molloy, 37, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to assault by beating in Haslingden and driving while disqualifi­ed in Rawtenstal­l. He was jailed for 10 weeks, given six points on his driving licence and a two-year restrainin­g order.
