CASES heard at Burnley Magistrates Court:
DEBORAH Drake, 41, of Manchester Road, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to drink-driving. She was given a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £150 costs and disqualified from driving for 40 months, reduced by 40 weeks if he completes a course by the Secretary of State.
DALE Bottomley, 38, of Edgworth Grove, Burnley, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting in Rossendale. He was given a 12-month community order with 40 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £72.50 compensation.
STACEY Leishman, 24, of Lancaster Avenue, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. She was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 costs.
BARRIE Anne Pounder, 37, of Briercliffe Road, Burnley, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting in Rossendale. He was given a 12-month community order with 40 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £72.50 compensation.
WAYNE Christopher Ward, 47, of Grange Road, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty to drink- driving at the McDonalds Drive Thru in Rawtenstall. He was fined £276, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 14 months, reduced by 14 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
CARL Davies, 31, of Hopwood Street, Preston, pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive words or disorderly behaviour in Bacup. He was given 12-month conditional discharge and restraining orders, and ordered to pay £85 costs.
CRAIG Andrew Venus, 34, of St Thomas’s Road, Crawshawbooth, pleaded guilty to drink=driving. He was fined £100, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
JAMES Herbert Chadwick, 63, of North View, Crawshawbooth, pleaded guilty to drinkdriving, assault by beating and assaulting a police officer. He was fined £240, ordered to pay £100 compensation and disqualified from driving for 15 months, reduced by 15 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
JOHN Timothy Hallisey, 41, of Todmorden Road, Bacup, pleaded guilty to sending a threatening text message. He was fined £150, ordered to pay £200 compensation and £85 costs and given a five-year restraining order.
JAMES Howorth, 24, of Rochdale Road, Bacup, pleaded guilty to drink= driving and using a vehicle without insurance. He was fined £275, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
JOHN William Kerrigan, 69, of Airdrie Crescent, Burnley, pleaded guilty to shoplifting in Rawtenstall. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £323.96 compensation.
CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:
LISA Allen, 34, of Musden Avenue, Helmshore, pleaded guilty to two counts of speeding. She was fined £186, order to pay £85 costs and given three points on her driving licence.
NEIL Francis Ashworth, 53, of Dale Street, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to five counts of speeding. He was fined £450, ordered to pay £425 costs and given three points on his driving licence.
MICHAEL Josef Farnworth, 44, of Regent Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to four counts of drug-driving in Rossendale. He was given a six-week jail sentence, suspended for 18 months, with a supervision requirement, a 19-day programme requirement, a ten-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £100, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 45 months.
LUKE David John Howarth, 30, of Gaghills Terrace, Waterfoot, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was fined £369, and ordered to pay £800 compensation.
DANIEL Thomas Moult, 26, of Market Street, Bacup, pleaded guilty to drink driving, using a vehicle without insurance, driving without a licence, failing to stop when requested by police, criminal damage, failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail and while subject to a suspended sentence order. He was jailed for 26 weeks and disqualified from driving for three years and 21 days.
LEWIS Devi D’Arbo, 31, of Top Barn Lane, Newchurch, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and using a vehicle without insurance. He was jailed for four weeks.
ALEX Millward, 22, of Aspinall Street, Heywood, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting, including in Rawtenstall, while subject to a conditional discharge order. He was jailed for eight weeks and ordered to pay £70 compensation.
SOHAIL Miskeen, 25, of Rufford Street, Bradford, pleaded guilty to speeding in Haslingden. He was fined £57, ordered to pay £85 costs and given three points on his driving licence.
JAMES Robert Irwin, 30, of Bury Road, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting and one count each of handling stolen goods and fraud by false representation. He was given a 12-month community order with a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £50 and ordered to pay £194.25 compensation.
ISHTIAQ Ahmed, 33, of Ullswater Way, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty to harassment. He was given a 10-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a supervision requirement, a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement, a two-year restraining order and ordered to pay £150 costs.
