A LADIES Christmas lunch will be held a Nino’s Restaurant in Rawtenstall.

Proceeds from the event will go towards Rossendale Hospice.

It will take place today, meeting at 11.30am for reception drinks.

Tickets cost £45 per person and are on a strictly first come first served basis.

They are on sale at the hospice or by calling 01706 253633. ROSSENDALE Hospice is holding its annual ‘Light up a Life’ service to positively remember and celebrate lost loved ones.

The service will take place at St Mary’s Church in Rawtenstall at 7pm on Thursday, December 13.

During the candle-lit non-denominational service there will be time for reflection and the names of passed friends and family can be shown on a screen.

A VALLEY business is collecting donations of new Christmas presents to be handed out to disadvantaged youngsters.

Unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at IPH, Unit 2 Grove House, Booth Street, Carrs Industrial Estate, Haslingden, BB4 5JA.

The new toy donations will form part of the Rock FM Mission Christmas appeal.

Please bear in mind that the last drop-off day for presents will be Monday, December 17.
