CASES heard at Burnley Magistrate­s Court:

CHRISTOPHE­R Higham, 31, of Alma Street, Bacup, pleaded guilty to drug driving and using a vehicle without a licence and insurance. He was fined £120 and disqualifi­ed from driving for 12 months.

ANDREW George Magnall, 55, of Alden Close, Helmshore, was found guilty of failing to give informatio­n relating to the identifica­tion of a driver to police. He was fined £270, ordered to pay £310 costs and given six points on his driving licence.

SIMON Moore, 45, of Newbigging Avenue, Rawtenstal­l, pleaded guilty to resisting a person in the execution of his duty and while subject to a conditiona­l discharge order. He was fined £322 and ordered to pay £620 costs.

NATHAN Sean Bevan, 36, of Booth Crescent, Waterfoot, was found guilty of failing to give informatio­n relating to the identifica­tion of a driver to police. He was fined £180, ordered to pay £150 costs and given six points on his driving licence.

MARTYN Richard Holroyd, 40, of Stanley Street, Ramsbottom, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was fined £350, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.

JAMES Robert Irwin, 31, of Bury Road, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 costs.

JODIE Ann Mousley, 34, of Fairfield Avenue, Waterfoot, was found guilty in her absence of being the parent of a child of compulsory school age who failed to attend that school regularly. She was fined £90 and ordered to pay £120 costs.

JUSTIN Shaw, 38, of Top Barn Lane, Newchurch, was found guilty in his absence of being the parent of a child of compulsory school age who failed to attend that school regularly. He was fined £220 and ordered to pay £60 costs.

IFTIKHAR Rasool, 44, of Langholme Street, Nelson, pleaded guilty to speeding in Haslingden. He was fined £66, ordered to pay £85 costs and given three points on his driving licence.

MOHAMMAD Iqbal, 52, of Burnley Road, Todmorden, pleaded guilty to driving a taxi without a hackney carriage licence in Bacup. He was fined £266 and ordered to pay £506.30 costs. CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrate­s Court:

LEANNE McKay, 32, of Thorn Bank, Bacup, pleaded guilty to shopliftin­g, assault by beating, criminal damage, theft and failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. She was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a supervisio­n requiremen­t, a 30-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, 80 hours unpaid work, a 12-month restrainin­g order, and must pay £257.50 compensati­on.

LAURA Ashworth, 24, of Sandfield Road, Bacup, was found guilty in her absence of using a television without a licence. She was fined £60 and ordered to pay £205 costs.

ROBERT Smith, 40, of Fairfield Avenue, Waterfoot, pleaded guilty to assaulting an emergency services worker acting in the execution of his duty. He was given a 12-month community order with a 20-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, 80 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £100 compensati­on.

ANTHONY Colin Morgan, 34, of Underbank Close, Bacup, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the supervisio­n requiremen­ts following his release from prison. He was fined £40.

ROSCOE Oliver Deveson, 27, of Acre Park, Bacup, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and criminal damage. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
