WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:
FURORE as Ye Olde Boot and Shoe pub banned from playing New Year’s Eve late night music (January 3):
Donna Crankshaw:
This is ridiculous, there is never any bother in Boot, he’s a top landlord. Jolly was open all night so why one and not the other. Pubs find it hard enough without this going on he should be compensated for loss of business. Boot and shoe is a top pub and never too loud, whoever has complained needs to put a sock in it.
Vanda Lee Killeen: Step away from the pub, it’s been around forever, just maybe make sure that all guests go in the beer garden, problem solved Katherine Murray:
From someone who’s going through something similar, you can’t blame people for being fed up with noise - especially if it’s a regular occurrence.
Lynsey Perkins: What difference is there if the Jolly Sailor had a music licence?
Stuart Conway: Why do people buy a house near a pub and then complain that they don’t like living next to a pub? Karen King: That is so wrong if the the Jolly was allowed to stay open. David Greenwood: The fun police strike again. It’s the 21st century not the 15th.
Martin Whitfield: Should have applied for licence earlier
Kirsty Dunston: I live behind the Boot and never hear anything in my house, it’s a joke
MUM’S poignant tribute paid to Lindsey Moore (January 3):
Sami Johnson: Rest in peace Linzi - my heart breaks for you! I hope you can be free now x Catherine Purcell:
Poor lady must’ve been really trying and I for one know how trying sometimes isn’t enough - may you be at peace now beautiful
Georgie Ireson: Riding like the wind across the Rainbow Bridge, ride free beautiful girl, thoughs with family and friends x
Karen King: Very sad... rip Lindsey x Muhammad Bilal: Rest In Peace my little cousin
