● CHANCELLOR Rishi Sunak pledges help to self-employed, but not until June (Facebook post):

Sami Johnson: What use is paying them in June? Chris Daniel: I’ve just started as self employed so don’t have a declared profitable income yet. For people like me we’ll fall through the net with no support which is disastrous for fledgling businesses.

Jack Eastwood: Chris Daniel true and its people that haven’t yet been making a profit that need the help more of anything! They’re already struggling to keep afloat!

● TESCO’S appeal to free up delivery slots for the vulnerable (Facebook post):

Alison Hardman: I have to stop home for 12 weeks and have tried to shop on line to no avail, please please take a moment to think about all us people that don’t have the option to go shopping for the essentials. We need online shopping to survive Catherine Owen: And housebound disabled people.

Kay Morton: I have been using the Tesco Haslingden online delivery service since it started, many years ago. I pay monthly for their delivery pass. I am 60 years old and have mobility problems and have a Blue Badge. I cannot walk far, let alone walk round a supermarket for long. I used to do my shopping on line one day, for delivery the next day. But now all of the delivery slots on line are full, up until the 14th April, which is as far as they offer online at present. How will they decide who gets these new delivery slots and how will they contact them? I hope it is soon, before my food runs out!
