Two arrested after axe row
TWO men were arrested after a man was seen with an axe after a row broke out at a shop.
The incident occurred just before 1.45pm on Monday, July 6 on Deardengate in Haslingden town centre.
Officers were called to reports of a man walking around with an axe following an earlier altercation in one of the shops on the street.
A Lancashire Constabulary spokesperson said: “It is believed that the incident occurred after an earlier altercation at a shop on the street between two men.
“There is not thought to be any risk to the wider public. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of affray and are in police custody.”
