MARINA Lord, nee Cunliffe, passed away in Burnley General Hospital on Monday, July 13.

She was born in Random Row, Stackstead­s on January 6, 1935.

She worked as a machinist at Atherton Holme Shoe Factory, Bacup up to her retirement.

Widow of the late Edward Lord, she leaves son Mark, nieces and nephews, and many friends. Flowers welcome, or donations to Cancer Research UK please.

A celebratio­n of his life will be held at Accrington Crematoriu­m on Monday, July 20, at 1.40pm. Family flowers only, but donations for RSPB. Anyone wishing to pay their respects may gather outside the crematoriu­m, but must adhere to social distancing rules.

MRS Daisy Olive Stott, formerly of Bacup, died peacefully at Highfield Hall Nursing Home, Haslingden on Friday, July 3, aged 95.

A service followed by cremation was held at Burnley on Tuesday, July 14, conducted by Mr Peter Goulding.

Born in Bacup, she had lived all of her life in the town and also Britannia.

Daisy worked most of her life at Valley Supply in Stackstead­s and prior to retirement spent 15 years as a Home Help.

She enjoyed knitting, gardening and watching TV. She leaves her daughter Hilda, nieces Elaine, Eileen and Shirley and many friends.
