JEANNETTE SCHOFIELD

-

MRS Jeannette Schofield, of Newchurch Road, Rawtenstall, died at home on Friday, September 4, aged 56.

Jeannette worked on Bank Street, Rawtenstall all her working life (nearly 40 years), formerly with Eley Long estate agents and lately at Holt &

Longworth solicitors as a secretary/receptionist.

She enjoyed travelling, walking with friends, spending time with her family, and relaxing with a nice glass of wine watching crime dramas.

Jeannette bravely battled her cancer for over six years.

During that time she inspired many people with her positive attitude to her illness, always keeping a smile on her face and working full time all the way through, right up until Covid lockdown.

Also, while working with and assisting her husband David as wedding photographers, she was a large part of one of the most important days of many local couples’ lives for over 25 years.

She will be fondly remembered by all of them for the cheerful way she helped them on the day.

She leaves husband Dave, son Tom and daughter Sophie, sisters Shirley and Pam, brothers-in-law Neil, Tony and Andy, and sister-inlaw Donna.

The funeral will be held on Friday, September 18, at 12.15pm at Burnley Crematorium, led by Stephen Crook.

Because she was such a popular member of the local community, the funeral cortege will travel from her home, down Newchurch Road, and then along Bank Street at around 11.30am, where the family have requested that anyone wishing to pay their respects would be welcome to stand in remembrance on Bank Street as the cortege passes.
