DAVID TAYLOR
MR David Taylor, of Olive House, New Line, Bacup, died at Olive House on Thursday, October 1, aged 72.
David was a greengrocer before he retired, and owned
Taylors Fruit and Veg Shops.
He was a keen gardener, a lifelong Burnley fan, and a keen watcher of motor racing.
When he was younger he was a Sunday School teacher for St Mary’s Church, and a bell ringer at St Mary’s.
He leaves son Andrew Taylor, daughters Leanne Walsh and Alyson Taylor, and grandchildren Jordan, Jack, Lewis, Alfie, Maggie and Ben.
The funeral will be held on Friday, October 16, at 11.30am at Burnley Crematorium.

HAROLD LORD
MR Harold Lord, of West View, Stacksteads, died on Monday, September 14, at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 79.
Shortly after leaving school Harold joined the Royal Marines and served with them for over nine years.
He then had a stall on Bacup Market selling cheese and also had an ice cream van business, finally working at Antrobus Plastic
Recycling Plant at Waterbarn before retiring.
His hobbies included playing golf, caravan holidays in Dawlish and Sunday drives through the Trough of Bowland.
Harold was divorced from the late Margaret Lord several years ago.
He leaves his current partner Margaret Taylor, children Suzanne, Tony, Diana, Jason and Sonja, sisters Florence and Mary, grandchildren Daniel, Trudy, Sophie, Xander, Amber, Jack, Xsara and Hermione, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 28, at 10.30am at Holy Trinity Church Tunstead, led by Rev Derek Allan, followed by burial at Bacup Cemetery at 11.15am. Due to COVID restrictions, numbers allowed in church are limited. Regrettably, therefore, the service will be for family only. Family flowers only. EDNA HADDOCK
WE are very sad to announce the death of our much loved mum Edna Haddock, on Wednesday, September 23, aged 94.
She is survived by four daughters/sons-in-law, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, baby bump and five great, great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will take place on Monday, October 19 at Trinity Baptist Church at 11.15am, followed by interment at Bacup Cemetery.
