ACARE business is celebrating 30 years of working in the community having doubled its initial workforce – with plans for further expansion.

Homecare Services has bases in Rossendale and Bury and has been working throughout the present emergency to improve the quality of life for its clients.

It was founded in Waterfoot in 1991 by Ryan Godwin and his wife Ann, and has since expanded to operate throughout Lancashire as a company in its own right and in partnership with five other Lancashire care providers.

Ryan said throughout the pandemic the company’s more than 70 employees had been working hard to assist hospital discharge by working closely with colleagues in the wider health and social care sector.

The company operates as part of the rapid response services which are being heavily relied on to ensure people can stay in their own homes and avoid admission to hospital wherever possible. Consistency and continuity of care is very important.

Ryan said: “Everyone who works for Homecare Services Bury, which also covers Ramsbottom, has been with us since we opened the new office at Newtons on The Rock.

“In

Rossendale we have a strong, reliable care team, the majority of whom have been with us for a number of years.

“We are always looking to recruit and we are currently looking for new members for our community care teams, with or without experience as full training is given.

“A lot of our team members are from the community that their clients live in and so they have a greater local knowledge and investment in local communities which allows us to understand the particular needs of our clients.

“Every client is involved in the creation of their individual care package which is designed around them and offers the opportunity to build a support plan which will enhance their quality of life.”

Homecare Services has secured several contracts and also offers services to individuals within the community with a wide variety of differing requirements. Presently the company is looking to gain new contracts with other authorities within the Greater Manchester region.

The company was rated good in all areas by the Care Quality Commission following a twoday inspection of the service in January 2019. To find out more visit the website www.homecareser vices- rossendale. co. uk or contact 01706 228399 or 0161 761 7129.
