ANNIVERSARY TRIP TO TIP

-

WHAT to do to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary this weekend?

Tough choice, but our favourite restaurants were closed (thanks a lot Boris!)

So it was a choice of a happy meal, in the car park. Or a much happier meal (me doing the cooking, again!) at home.

Then the only place left open, apart from the market - so we went there first. Was the TIP!

I kid you not!

Can anyone explain to me why the tip staff are not allowed to help my senior citizen husband, put a heavy piece of wood in the skip? (Covid?)

Can anyone explain to me why we can only take one kind of rubbish? (Covid?) Please can you explain why some people who are not as kind as we are, then choose to fly tip all the other stuff in our countryside?

Finally, can anyone explain to me why the road leading to the tip could not have been repaired during the first lockdown?

Can somebody order it to be repaired, before we all give up the will to tip! Then you can argue all you like about who is going to foot the bill.

I just got our council tax bill through the door.

If this road is not repaired, along with Manchester Road, Haslingden and the road in front of the primary school, just off Manchester Road. I will feel fully justified in withholding 25% of my council tax bill.

Of course, I will repay this money, once these roads are repaired. Anyone care to join me? Looking forward to the wedding anniversary next year! I feel a cruise coming on!
