WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:

●● CAR park locked over Holcombe Hill Easter visitor numbers concerns (March 29):

Jenny Cooper: That’s not going to help. People will just park on the road.

Zoe Wild: Closing that tiny car park is hardly dissuasive action! Surely people can finally be allowed a sunny walk on a bank holiday weekend...

Janet Golden: So they will just block the road! Caroline Mcguire: Looks like the road will be grid locked now!

Sarah Brown Cameron: How ridiculous, with the car park open the road is treacherous at weekends with cars double parked all the way up the road. Do they really think closing the car park will help?

Rich Rowlands: Dissuade = double parking down the road instead. Going to be carnage

Rachael Bartlett: What do they think they are going to do when they enter said car park? High fives and group hugs all round

●● DEPUTY head Angela Warburton retires after 45 years at Holy Trinity Primary (March 26):

Nicola Sheridan

Proctor: Happy Retirement Angela, enjoy the well deserved rest after 45 years, wow! X TeamTom: She will be missed a lot. Happy retirement x

Kath Love Was Melvin: Happy Retirement well deserved, you’ve been amazing x

Melissa Haworth: Fond memories of our time at Holy Trinity with this great teacher x

Jill Bolton: Happy

Retirement to this very much loved colleague and friend. A very short example how she would do anything for the children. Many years ago, we had an emergency at school in which we were told to evacuate the building. (It was a false alarm, I hasten to add!) and as we all made our way out, Angela proceeded to run around collecting coats and throwing them out of the doors as she was concerned ‘The children would get cold!’ Obviously, total madness and she was highly berated by us all... but at the end of the day... her first thoughts were always the children! The back bone of the school, mad as a box of frogs... the school will certainly not be the same without you!

Wendy Gill: Awwww! Enjoy your retirement! Thank you for being a fabulous teacher to my kids back in the day x Jessica May Clawson: Aww bless her! So many nice memories of her teaching me as a kid! Sam J. Fields: Angela taught me in the mid-’90s; I had no idea she’d already been there for twenty years at the time. Wishing her all the best and a happy retirement.

Kayleigh Griffiths:

Loved my time at Holy Trinity - happy retirement

Jade Hannah Elsworth: Great memories. Enjoy your retirement x

Karen Hutchinson: Many many happy memories of this lady, total one off and will be very hard to replace. Thank you for everything you have done for both myself and Helen Crowley. Happy retirement x ps keep playing the accordion, those were the best times
