WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:

● EMERGENCY services rushed to a crash near Haslingden ( April 12):

Vicky Roberts: Hope they are all alright Eileen Webster: Hope everyone is OK

Julie Vose: That junction is always full of ice, accidents there all the time gritter came as the cars was being towed away. Terrible road with massive pot holes too. Council patch a couple up then weeks later they are back again. Hope everyone is ok and not to badly injured

Rachel Wright: Jo Shea this what you were stuck in?

Jo Shea: yes - I feel hugely thankful I wasn’t there a few minutes earlier or we could have been involved. Praying the child is ok and everyone else too x

● PEAKY Blinders being filmed in Bacup ( April 9):

Scott De ‘Ath: No way!! Never!! Why has nobody mentioned this on Facebook in the last week!!

Carole Rodriguez:

Look forward to the programme on the telly. Jane Jones: Bestest programme ever, watched the episodes over and over again, please do more after the 6th x

Lisa Mossop: Leigh remind me why we didn’t go for a nosy?! Literally 10 mins away Lou Long: Our stalking paid off

Robert Ibbotson: I’ve just peaked through my blinds and it’s Christmas.

Janet Fraser: So looking forward to the next series.

Carol Forrester: Can’t wait, absolutely love this programme

● DEAF woman Ayesha Gavin was upset at Coronavirus testing station in Rawtenstall ( April 9):

Brenda Higham: Yeah I saw that, they should have a full face shield there as well then they could pop on and then pull the mask down to speak to people with hearing loss. They would still have covering with full shield but be able to allow to lip read. Because deafness is not visible people don’t understand how frustrating it is for them, that situation could have been resolved easily with full visor on.

Sam Haworth: Looks like a refresher course on disability awareness is needed.

Joanna Jonathan: Hidden disabilities are still massively discriminated against. I was asked to move out of a disabled parking bay at Rawtenstall hub by a covid volunteer, despite clearly displaying my disability badge on my dashboard. Their reason was ‘ they had lots of elderly coming in who would need the spaces’. Not all elderly people are disabled and not all disabled people are elderly. As a stage 4 cancer patient, these spaces are a lifeline on the days when walking far is difficult and we shouldn’t have to explain ourselves to people because we don’t fit their disillusioned criteria of what a disabled person looks like.

Joanna Louise: Ayesha is one of the loveliest people you could meet and the treatment she gets on more than just this occasion and by health professionals that should know better, is absolutely appalling x Vikee HampsonWaters: It’s an absolute shame that they didn’t have a face visor so that they could communicate, but I suppose in their defence they were at a Covid testing site which is literally one of the last places you would want to be uncovering your nose and mouth.

● GLIMPSE inside £2.5m mansion which is on the market (see page April 7):

Chris Fleming: Might be a bit cramped on a party weekend

Gavin Cooke: This house when we win the lottery

Helen Marvelley: Found our home ! Simone Footitt: The stair case looks like a council office, awful house.

Gem Handley: Nathan Berry this is that house i was telling you about. Keith Hollick: How much would the window cleaner charge for all them. Not that price would be an issue if you can afford that house.

Kathleen Rowley: Looks like a spa complex.

Victoria Elizabeth: I wouldn’t have it given to me.

Andy Lee: Each to their own regarding the property but if you can afford to buy it you will have to add on another £ 211250.00 to pay the stamp duty. Add another £ 75000.00 if you already own another home.

Paul Richardson: Heated pool? Was hoping for a real cold pool, might have put an offer in if it was.

Keith Jones: Wouldn’t like to keep it clean. That would be a full time job in itself.

Kristy Lee: Each to their own but not my cup of tea. Looks like a care home from the outside house or a primary school. Not worth that sort of money in that location. Love the indoor pool though.
